Course Syllabus

Basic Level

We’re going to adopt LEGO Mindstorm EV4’s default projects:

• Charlie
• Blast
• Tricky
• M.V.P.
• Gelo

Advanced Level

Four projects are selected from LEGO Mindstorm EV4’s community projects:

• Lightplane: a helicopter’s prototype
• Balancing Bot I and II:
  • Balancing Bot I is a typical balancing robot with ONLY 2 wheels
  • Balancing Bot II needs two LEGO Mindstorm EV4, one for a balancing robot, the other for a remote controller
• Color Catcher I and II:
  • Color Catcher I is typically for recognizing the colors
  • Color Catcher II also need two LEGO Mindstorm EV4s, but two robots fight against each other
• Print and Scan: a very practical project. Students are expected to design a scanner and a printer with LEGO Mindstorm EV4
